Notes on Trans-Socialism

Trans People regardless of gender have a higher need for healthcare than their Cis counterparts. The basics of a reasonable healthcare system in America is set up to be unaffordable for millions, and those who can afford it must pay top dollar for life-saving care and services. Things like emergency room visits, ambulances, and even items as simple as painkillers can cost hundreds or thousands of dollars.

For many Trans individuals this has been unacceptable, leading some to DIY their medical transitioning, and travel to hospitals outside the United States for care. Fear-mongering around socialized medicine should fall mute when the system we currently have is built to price out to much of the population.

Education is always a consistent target for capitalists and fascists. Citizens only receive the amount of education needed to make them productive workers, and bosses neglect to cover many basics of care for the workers who make them their profit. This leaves out or neglects crucial parts of history, geography, biology, language, and many other subjects needed to operate with the rest of the world.

Proper Education must be prioritized for the safety of a majority of people in the United States. Countering hate begins with education and without it any working class movement will fail. Establishing book clubs, reading lists, or watch parties of educational content can help erode untrue fear-mongering narratives.

Many Trans People have and continue to live in poverty, and so does the rest of the nation. Capitalism does not care to provide necessary safety nets provided by a majority of modern countries. These “safety nets” such as universal healthcare, U.B.I., and free public transportation are staples of a nation growing towards the equality of all people, beginning through a legal framework.

It is the goal of mutual aid organizations and direct action groups to begin to stitch the fabrics of communities back together and begin to ease the insurmountable pains being caused globally because of U.S. Capitalist Imperialism.

A focused group should be frequently donating to other Mutual Aid/Direct Action organizations (especially those overseas most effected by Capitalism), remain committed to it’s founding principles, and resist Imperialism.
